You may have heard some of the common myths about this disorder: some people falsely define it as a “multiple personality” disorder. Others believe that people with this malady are violent or dangerous. Others still, that bad parenting is the cause. These are myths. The facts often show that this illness is not what you may think it is. There is a lot to learn, and much of the story is hopeful. We are talking about schizophrenia.
